Vlak bij de Mathildenhöhe ligt de Rosenhöhe.
Om daar te komen passert men de "Löwentor". De Leeuwenpoort was een gezamenlijk project van de architect Albin Müller en de beeldhouwer Bernard Hoetger. Hij stond aanvankelijk op de Mathilden höhe tijdens de expositie van 1914

Op de Rosenhöhe zijn de mausolea van de Groot Hertogelijke familie te vinden.
Vooral het grafmonument uit 1903 (Ludwich Habich) voor Ernst Ludwig's dochterje Elisabeth, dat op 8 jarige leeftijd tijdens een tocht naar Rusland overleed, is interessant.

Geopend in 1909- In de 2 e Wereldoorlog zwaar beschadigd. Vanaf 2005 in originele stijl gerestaureerd maar wel aangepast aan eigentijdse wensen.
